About the client

Our client is a civil specialist in large scale landscape and civil construction projects for builder, government bodies, developers, architects and contractors. They are an Australian owned business who are established over 30 years who pride themselves in their great reputation.

The Role
Due to upcoming projects, they are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to work on large scale commercial projects. Reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with the Site Construction Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the successful implementation and delivery of project scope within the mining and civil infrastructure area.
The role of Site Engineer is critical to the success of our projects by developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and ensuring projects are completed to the required standards and deadlines.

The Ideal Candidates will have experience in the following areas:

  • Review current plans and specification, refer to quantities allowed for at tender stage
  • Update plans upon re-issue of new drawings, new specifications or other from the client. Inform project team accordingly, including hardcopies to update site plans. Review and look for changes.
  • ITP's / QA daily progress photos, documentation (very important)
  • Liaise with client engineers, coordinating inspections for hold points, witness points (ITP)
  • Completing documentation / correspondence to accurately reflect meetings.
  • Material register of imported and exported, including collating delivery dockets, receipts, etc and submitting to the client on a weekly basis.
  • Assist Site Foreman with structuring fortnightly / monthly program (program to be a day to day breakdown of the overarching project program
  • Coordinate / schedule deliveries relevant to the above program, site measuring as required, and completing a weekly delivery schedule for the site Contract Administrator (CA) / Project Manager (PM) to issue / approve.
  • Assist Site Foreman with mobilisation /coordination of subcontractors
  • Compile dig permits, ensuring they are administered correctly.
  • Attend weekly site meetings (client & subcontractor)
  • Compile and feed back site information to CA / PM to assist with accurate claiming, ie: material quantities, machine / man hours spent per month.
  • RFI submissions
  • Experience on projects within Australia
