Join their Operations Consulting team as a Senior Consultant and work on clients and strategic accounts significant to their Canberra team.

About the role:

The Canberra Operations Consulting Team works with Federal Government clients on their most high profile initiatives and helps them in meeting their business objectives through identifying more efficient and effective ways to undertake business, analysing cost and cost reduction activities and provides other consulting services to improve client performance.

In response to continued and sustained growth in demand for our services from major clients, they are looking for exceptional talent to join their team in Canberra.

As a Senior Consultant, you will have a range of responsibilities that will have meaningful impact on some of the most influential companies in our market:

  • Delivering projects across operations strategy and structure;
  • Target operating model design and core process design/build;
  • Productivity/cost reduction;
  • Process optimisation;
  • Outsourcing and offshoring;
  • Transition Management; and
  • Capability and Asset Management Strategy.

About you:

As a Senior Consultant you will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in an environment where you have delivered projects across a range of phases including problem diagnosis, option design, solution construction and implementation;
  • Degree qualifications - Accounting, Commerce, Business or Engineering;
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to solve complex problems and assess the effectiveness of business processes;
  • Business development and successful revenue contribution;
  • The ability to contribute to, and in time, lead broader consulting projects;
  • Sophisticated client relationship skills with the ability to talk confidently about issues and factors relating to specific projects;
  • A track record in building effective relationships both internally and externally to contribute to the growth of the business;
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Advanced Excel, Word & Powerpoint; and
  • The ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance is required for this role.

Exposure to the following areas will be an advantage:

  • Large transformational programs;
  • Identifying and driving positive changes to processes through an organisation;
  • Cost modelling and cost estimation, including the development of robust business cases;
  • Asset management, including engineering, logistics and procurement activities; and
  • Experience in Federal or State Government.
