Sales Support and Logistics - $60K

About the role
As a Logistics and Sales Support, you will be joining a cohesive and dynamic team of 7 in the CBD office. You will be responsible for liaising between customers, overseas suppliers and the sales team to arrange import shipments, customs clearance, warehousing, and scheduling transport for deliveries. You will be responsible for a set of overseas suppliers and will be the first point of contact for managing the overall supply chain.
Role responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the sales team day-to-day to manage deliveries to customers and shipment from suppliers
  • Dealing with overseas suppliers: place new orders, monitor and follow up shipments to ensure arrival to schedule
  • Manage shipping documents from suppliers and to customers. Work with customs agents, warehouses and transport companies to ensure efficient clearance
  • Communicate proactively with the sales team, customers, and transport contractors regularly on expected shipment schedules, delivery and pick-up
  • Understand individual customer's trading terms and their requirements including payment terms, packaging, product type used, agreed storing period, etc.
  • Resolving day-to-day problems with customers, warehouses, suppliers, and finding solutions
  • Perform office administration duties as required, including answering the phone, arranging couriers, and maintaining office equipment

Best suitable candidate

  • 2-3 years experience in logistic and sales support
  • Proactive can-do attitude and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment
  • Willing to serve, friendly, approachable, and teamwork-driven person
  • Well organised, attention to detail, and ability to work accurately often under pressure
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills. Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Interest in identifying and delivering improvements to internal processes
  • Work experience in SAP Business One would be an advantage
  • Diploma Certificate (Bachelor Degree preferable) and Customs Agent License preferable
