As the Demand & Production Planner you will be a key member of the Production & Logistics team, and encouraged to put forth new ideas, processes and improvements, enabling the business to achieve production, service, distribution, customer satisfaction and inventory targets.


  • Regarded as a senior member of the team, you will report to the Industrial Manager but will operate autonomously and will be encouraged to create and implement improvements
  • Responsible for the generation & publishing of the master production schedules for 4 manufacturing facilities in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane & Perth
  • Daily submission of DRP, MPS & MRP jobs for demand planning.
  • Analysis of actual vs forecasted sales and implement adjustments to production schedules as required
  • Communication with production teams & customer service teams back orders, production delays, priorities, schedule changes, material availability/shortfalls, any other supply issues
  • Monitoring of production targets daily and taking action to rectify where behind
  • Prepare S&OP planning data on a monthly basis
  • Contribution & input into Quality Management Systems
  • Communication with Inventory Managers and management of quarantine levels, stock transfers, rework plan & execution

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience operating in a planning/scheduling role within a manufacturing environment is essential
  • Ideal though not essential would be Tertiary qualifications in logistics/planning/purchasing or similar certifications through APICS
  • Computer literacy - Ideally SAP but not essential, Microsoft word and Excel
  • Attention to detail with excellent time management skills and problem solving skills are essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
