Currently, and due to significant growth in 2016, they seek an experienced Production Manager for their commercial joinery division in Melbourne

The Position:

To manage the joinery component of fitout projects across multiple sites, with a key focus on safety, accuracy and productivity. You will work as part of a team to meet contractual agreements and productivity targets, whilst providing an outstanding level of service to internal and external stakeholders & customers

Your new role will see you take control of the workshop and ensure jobs go out on time and to a high quality of standard. You will prepare cutting lists, take site measurements and oversee all manufacturing and production of custom joinery parts. You will manage and lead a team of 10 factory staff and forecast/schedule works as required

What's on offer?

* Base $90-100k

The Person:

To be successful in this position you will:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar Production Manager role
  • Have building materials experience
  • Joinery or fit out would be an added bonus, however this is not a prerequisite. More importantly, is the ability to lead a team
  • The ability to read all types of construction plans/shop drawings and arrange cutting lists as required
  • Experience running teams of workshop / production staff
  • Good - strong computer / software skills
  • You will be KPI driven, highly organised and possess good communication skills.
  • Central, North or Westerly Melbourne based
