National Business Development Manager

Our client is a global leader in the supply of finishes to the Architectural & Design Industry.
Spanning over 3 decades they are commercially focused dealing predominately with the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Their product range currently includes textiles, leather, wall coverings, acoustic panels and modular systems.
They supply finishes for application in workplace, educational, healthcare, hospitality, transport and residential buildings and interiors.
They now require a National Business Development Manager based in Sydney.

Role Responsibilities

  • Represent all current and potential products including panels, tiles and system products
  • Precisely target market to Architectural design and acoustic engineering firms involved in specifically for building and interior projects to address both acoustic solutions and aesthetic requirements. This interaction also involves building contractors and developers. Both existing and potential clients.
  • Focus on achieving specification and obtaining the orders from contractors
  • Administer pre-determined formal CPD presentations to architects and interiors designers
  • Willingness to travel throughout Australia to support the National team
  • Work alongside the client's acoustic design team to cleverly develop the business along with new product solutions
  • Report to managing director
  • Upkeep of company's database and reporting style
  • Requirement to occasionally travel for rtade shows, educational lectures, conferences (in and out of business hours)
  • Must follow up with clients and act as technical consultants as needed to ensure customer satisfaction

Role Requirements

  • Must show complete understanding of the Architectural Industry and have previous experience in reading Architectural drawings, plans, specification and be proficient in lateral thinking and practical solution solving. Relevant qualification in design, drafting or acoustics would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills required both verbally and written with ability to deliver to both clients, colleagues and management
  • Ability to work on various situations in the commercial sector whilst identifying and developing opportunities via relationships
  • Capability to record a client brief, recognize a client's needs ad in return present a reasonable solution. Ability to help with the development of solutions, including the building, usage and environmental factors
  • Demonstrate experience in completing large scale and high value projects
  • Constantly upkeep database with present customers and prospects information
  • Always hold a professional presentation while dealing with all areas of your job
  • A high level of energy and a positive attitude towards your work and the company and clients at all times is very important
  • Full NSW Drivers license
  • Full Australian working rights
