Brief Description

The Specification Coordinator - Building Materials position is based in Melbourne, Victoria and will report directly to the National Sales Manager. The MDC will be predominantly responsible for identifying & qualifying National Commercial Projects. This role will be a direct support to the clients Territory Managers with Project assistance & market development.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide Quotations and quantity take offs for Territory Managers
  • Work closely with Territory Managers to identify and progress all relevant projects country wide.
  • Review plans & specifications for all products.
  • Send qualified leads to Territory Managers
  • Update& closely monitor Project Funnel - weekly/monthly
  • Provide product & technical support across all brands
  • Provide & follow up quotations on a regular basis
  • Utilize lead service as the primary project search tool for each region. Package information and supply to regions.

Job Requirements

  • Ideally prior experience in a similar Specification Coordinator / market development / project administrator type role
  • Previous work in the plumbing or building materials space wopuld be ideal
  • Support strategic business planning through data collection & sales funnel management
  • Ability to think analytically to identify projects and commercial works within Australia.
  • Display sound business acumen in the ability to make decisions based on product selection.
  • Build long term relationships with key decision makers including hydraulic designers and engineers, architects, facility managers and major plumbing contractors.
  • From time to time attend industry exhibitions and trade shows.
  • Be able to self time manage and achieve set KPI's and metrics.
  • Provide regular structured market activity reports and feedback to the National Sales Manager.
  • Have an excellent phone manner.
  • Regular communication with sales staff.
  • Sound experience and knowledge around Microsoft programs.
  • Experience preferred but not essential in CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) & Axapta program.
