Managing Consultant / Manager

One of our favourite clients, a growing independent management consultancy which has a focus on transformation and strategy, supporting client organisations in the implementation of value adding and sustainable improvements.

We are seeking like-minded experienced Managers from a consulting background - With Operational, Process, Transformation and Strategy as a functional background.

As a Managing Consultant, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Manage team of consultants at the client site
  • Primary point of contact for client management
  • Utilise structured problem solving to develop change management strategies, interventions and work plans
  • Identify and communicate potential solutions through structured stakeholder engagement
  • Work with client leadership teams to drive change as agreed with key stakeholders and within defined project time frames
  • Develop trusted relationships with project team members and management within client organisations
  • Responsibility for the P&L of the project

Candidates should possess the following attributes:

  • Critical thinking and aptitude to design and develop innovative solutions to meet business objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and support strategic business transformation initiatives
  • Working knowledge of, and client facing experience in, utilising structured organisational change management methodologies and practices
  • Experience developing and delivering change management strategies, stakeholder engagement and communication plans, communication materials, training materials, operational readiness and business impact assessments and other key change management deliverables.
  • Understanding of business process improvement standards and methods
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Structured problem solving, including the ability to conduct root-cause analysis
  • Research, analysis and report development
  • Results oriented and self-directed
  • Exposure to project and programme management work environments

Qualifications & Experience:

  • External consulting experience essential (Big 4, Tier 1 / 2 firms)
  • Formal Change Management certification (eg: Prosci).
  • Formal Project Management certification (e.g. PMBOK, Prince 2)
  • Minimum of 5 years business experience including either or both of:
    - 4+ years of relevant consulting or business improvement projects
    - 4+ years industry experience working on strategic initiatives
