Your new role as General Manager, Residential Care is a key leadership role within the organisation, you will be responsible for the strategic direction and operations of residential care services to ensure they are efficient, effective and meet the needs of residents, employees and stakeholders. As an experienced senior manager, you will report to the Executive Director of Fresh Hope Care and work in close collaboration with the Regional Managers and other General Managers to identify opportunities for integration of existing services, new opportunities and strategic partnerships to ensure that services are delivered in an effective, sustainable and efficient manner.

You must have;

  • Experience in a senior management role with financial responsibility, in a health or aged care organisation, over a minimum period of five (5) years
  • Graduate qualification(s) relevant to the area of health, aged care, community services, or health service management or similar, and post graduate qualification(s) or equivalent experience relevant to the area of nursing, management, business or health
  • Applied knowledge of care needs of the existing and future client base, as well as current challenges in meeting aged care resident's needs
  • Experience in the development and implementation of policy, processes or standards for the delivery of care
  • Applied knowledge of the accreditation system as well as funding and regulatory requirements for residential aged care services
  • Experience in establishing risk management frameworks, and monitoring and managing risk across a multi-site health or aged care environment
  • Applied knowledge of relevant legislation, compliance requirements, and government policies that impact on aged care
  • Highly developed communication, problem solving, decision making and negotiation skills, with the demonstrated ability to establish and build rapport, communicate comfortably with persons at various levels and positions in an organisational context
  • Computer literacy
  • Willingness and ability to work within a Christian context and Fresh Hope mission and values
  • Current NSW registration as a Nurse List A (desirable)
