The Role

As the Business Development Manager, you will be the forefront of the business, taking control of a portfolio of account within leading Builders, architectural specialists, national and independent retailers (c$1m worth of current VIC business). The second part of the role would be to develop relationships with architects, home builders, developers, aiming to gain specification of product into townhouses and volume builder projects.


  • Manage an existing pipeline of existing accounts within door shop, retailer market (worth $1m p/a, c200 accounts) and look to grow this primary space
  • Formulate and effect the strategy for new project wins by developing relationships with architects, designers, builders, distributors
  • Generate revenue and new opportunities within townhouse and volume builder projects across VIC
  • Leverage external and internal tools for project tracking and information
  • Drive deeper relationships with an existing key client portfolio
  • Represent the brand at industry functions & entertain clients in social forums
  • Provide market feedback for input into further product development


  • Proven sales experience ideally from a residential building space
  • Contacts with leading architects, designers, home builders across VIC
  • Contacts with leading retailers / resellers of interior products would be useful
  • Stable career history
  • Ambitious, tenacious and driven with a real passion for delivering beyond the clients expectations
  • Autonomous, able to work from home rather than an office, and comfortable in reporting to Directors interstate
