Our client is a national leading flooring organisation with over 40 years expertise in the Australian market. They are a highly reputable multi-faceted business with focus on the commercial, retail and trade markets who are currently expanding their presence across Australia. Due to the expansion, an opportunity exists for a talented and Business Development Manager from within the flooring industry, to grow the businesses brand through the contractor space


Backed by a strong team and working closely with the National Sales Manager, you will be championed with introducing and developing business with contractors and spome end users across the state. Key to this role is enthusiasm, initiative and above all else - sales ability. Essentially your mandate is to maximise the market share and grow the annual revenue base. Please note this is a field based position.


  • Secure an existing pipeline of work
  • Leveraging existing relationships with contractors, whilst Identify new opportunities
  • Technical product support along with product presentations will be an ongoing part of this role
  • quoting clients with a range of products and other requirements, offering advice and solutions


  • An external sales background in the building products industry (min 3 years)
  • Strong organisational, planning and negotiating skills
  • A polished presenter - articulate and well presented
  • An energetic and tenacious character with a desire to further their career
  • Although not a prerequisite, applicants that have some an interior product such as flooring, tiles or carpets would be welcomed
  • Sales to flooring contractos, builders, or relationships with architects would be helpful
