Job Description


Our client has a strong presence in the Australian flooring market with several years experience. Specialising in high end Eurpean flooring brands, they are a well respected and highly reputable boutique company, who are currently expanding their presence across Australia. Working from their head office in the city fringe, the main focus of this position is to drive sales, and to manage and grow existing and prospective clients in the A&D space, focusing mainly on multi-res and commercial projects


Backed by a strong and experienced team and working closely with the Sales Manager, you will be championed with introducing and developing relationships with leading architects & designers across the state. Key to this role is enthusiasm, initiative and above all else - sales ability. Essentially your mandate is to maximise the market share and grow the annual revenue base. Please note this is a field based position.


  • Secure an existing pipeline of work
  • Identify new opportunities, whilst leveraging existing relationships
  • Technical product support along with product presentations will be an ongoing part of this role
  • quoting clients with a range of products and other requirements, offering advice and solution
  • Undertaking training and introduction to the business in Melbourne
  • Take control of the existing project pipeline and ensuring they are followed to fruition
  • Presentations to existing & new design firms & developers to gain new project specifications
  • Liaising with builders, contractors to hold specifications through to order
  • Reporting to the senior management team in Melbourne to feed local market intel and devise strategies for major projects and potential new markets
  • High level of engagement and support from the head office team including sampling etc


  • An external sales background in the interior building products industry (min 3 years)
  • Knowledge of the multi residential and commercial builder market
  • Key relationships with architects and designers across Melbourne
  • Strong organisational, planning and negotiating skills
  • A polished presenter - articulate and well presented
  • Someone capable of seeing a project through from start to end
  • Applicants that have previously sold high end flooring, furniture, bathroomware, tiles, rugs, lighting, benchtops or carpets would be welcomed
