Our client is an influential Architectural Hardware designer and manufacturer that has been shaping the door hardware industry for over 10 + years. Over this time, our client has built up an enviable reputation for service and quality of product, making them a company of choice for leading retailers, architects, designers and builders across Australia.

With head office operations based Interstate and boasting an ability to dispatch product in rapid time via Interstate distributors, they continue to go from strength to strength. With continued growth (40% last year) comes a rare opportunity to join this industry employer of choice.


As the Melbourne Sales Manager, you will be the forefront of the business, taking control of a portfolio of account within leading door shops, architectural specialists, national and independent retailers (c$1m worth of current VIC business). The second part of the role would be to develop relationships with architects, home builders, developers, aiming to gain specification of product into townhouses and volume builder projects. This will be a home based, standalone position initially (with the possibility to move into a serviced office), so there will be an expectation to run this division like your own business.


  • Manage an existing pipeline of existing accounts within door shop, retailer market (worth $1m p/a, c200 accounts) and look to grow this primary space
  • Formulate and effect the strategy for new project wins by developing relationships with architects, designers, builders, distributors
  • Generate revenue and new opportunities within townhouse and volume builder projects across VIC
  • Leverage external and internal tools for project tracking and information
  • Drive deeper relationships with an existing key client portfolio
  • Represent the brand at industry functions & entertain clients in social forums
  • Provide market feedback for input into further product development


  • Salary $80-90K + Super + Car Allowance + Strong Commissions on both exisiting and new sales revenue

  • Proven sales experience ideally from an architectural products space
  • Contacts with leading architects, designers, home builders across VIC
  • Contacts with leading retailers / resellers of interior products would be usefull
  • Stable career history
  • Ambitious, tenacious and driven with a real passion for delivering beyond the clients expectations
  • Autonomous, able to work from home rather than an office, and comfortable in reporting to Directors interstate
  • Comfortable with 1 regional overnight trip per month
  • Candidates that have sold bathroom or kitchen products - door / window / cabinet / architectural hardware, benchtops or related interior products would be welcomed
