Our client is a successful, market leading Australian Freight Forwarding with a strong footprint in market. We currently require the services of an experienced and determined New Business Development Manager to join their committed and determined team. The right candidate ideally with have a background in sales within freight forwarding or a Customer Service/Key Account star looking to transition into sales. To succeed you will need to bring a hunger and drive to generate and convert both warm and cold sales leads.
The role includes but is not limited to the following tasks: * Extensive knowledge of International Freight * The desire & ability to work independently * Ability to build strong relationships developed from working in the Freight Forwarding industry * Ability to quickly learn product and service knowledge in order to translate a customer's need into a solution * Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
The following skills are essential to be considered for the role: * Proven experience in new business development * An understanding international freight forwarding services * Account Management of new accounts experience * Research and development of new sales opportunities and the ability to turn leads into sales * Previous experience with rate negotiations, tenders and supply negotiations * Preparation of sales reports experience a must!
