With a solution focus and client satisfaction this organisation continues to grow year on year. This Australian owned distributor provides some of the most advanced products in the market; backed by a global group they lead the industry in product development. A fantastic opportunity exists for an Area Sales Manager to join the Melbourne based team.

In this highly desirable role, you will provide coverage across Melbourne. Pitching for new business and presenting to key stakeholders in the construction, engineering and industrial space, this professional sales role will have a key focus on business development, account management. Ongoing support and training will be provided to ensure your success within this role.

Duties include:

  • Secure an existing pipeline of work
  • Identify new opportunities within the builder market
  • Full understanding of the channel and primary demand network and the ability to use product value proposition to leverage and influence both.
  • Drive all product categories to achieve increased category share
  • Drive innovative product training solutions to achieve 100% pull through in all key accounts
  • Quoting clients with a range of products and other requirements
  • Achieve personal sales targets to contribute to the company business objectives being
  • Providing product support and advising customers on product solutions
  • Quoting from standard product pricing information and driving sales conversions
  • Building customer relationships through strong customer service and a can do attitude with a willingness to always exceed expectations
  • Manage and maintain regular call plans in your assigned metro and country territories


  • Proven sales experience ideally from the building products space
  • Wealth of contacts with leading Builders & Contractors across VIC
  • Stable career history e.g. 12+ consecutive months in a similar role
  • Ambitious, tenacious and driven with a real passion for delivering beyond the clients expectations
  • Candidates that have sold construction chemicals, waterproofing, coatings would be highly sought after
