Job Description


My client is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Bookkeeper. The ideal person will have an ability to forward plan and be able to work autonomously within a dynamic and creative team.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working autonomously within a high volume and fast paced environment
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, processing transactions , ensuring that all income and expenses are allocated to appropriate cost entries
  • Pay invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements, obtaining authorisation of payment in a timely manner
  • Managing accounts of up to three business entities
  • Follow up on supplier rebates
  • Issue invoices to customers through Framework CRM
  • Collect revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments and charge interests on overdue accounts as per agreed contractual obligations
  • Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
  • Conduct daily (or as required) reconciliation of Trading bank account
  • Run and manage staff weekly Payroll
  • Month End General Ledger postings and reconciliations
  • Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents in an orderly manner
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
  • Assist with phone answering
  • Using MYOB
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Any other task assigned by management


Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience running weekly staff payroll
  • Ability to work within a fast pace and highly demanding environment
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Organisation skills
  • Prior experience as a Bookkeeper and completing all end to end accounts
  • General math skills
  • Must have experience with Financial Software MYOB.
  • Able to analyse information
  • High level attention to detail
  • Thoroughness in performing assigned tasks
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
