The company is involved in designing, engineering and manufacturing point of sale and retail merchandising products for all types of business. Rapidly expanding as a result of business growth, our client is looking to add a strong candidate with an extensive accounting background to their already successful finance team.


The role is an essential function within the business. Reporting to the GM of Finance, you will be responsible for the below:

  • Managing the day to day financial operations; ensuring compliance with various taxation and regulatory bodies;
  • Provide proactive support to COO on assigned projects and attend board meeting from time to time;
  • Planning and coordinating month, quarter and year-end group reporting;
  • Leading and preparing monthly management and financial reports; review month end journals and ensure all reports are accurate and complete;
  • Providing P&L and Balance Sheet Analysis with month end reconciliations;
  • Cash flow management including review of payment processes and ensure internal controls are followed through;
  • Manage creditors and debtors with the help of Trainee Accountant;
  • Planning and coordinating quarterly forecast analysis and annual budgeting;
  • Drive Internal controls, process improvement and system enhancement, including maintaining the accounting system;
  • Continuous improvement of internal reporting and maintaining effective financial, management accounting controls and systems;
  • Coordinate Audits for overseas entities
  • Manage supplier and client relationships and achieve desired target sales/margins
  • Prepare monthly staff salary payments, superannuation payments, tax compliance etc. and process the banking.


For the successful candidate proven Accounting experience in a manufacturing or related industry is essential. A self-motivated individual with a hands-on approach, relevant industry knowledge and proven industry experience would be well suited. Mandarin speaking background is highly advantageous, however not essential.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting (ideally CA or CPA qualified);
  • Minimum of three years' experience working in a similar position, ideally from a manufacturing background;
  • Up-to-date knowledge of accounting practices, financial modeling and accounting software systems (MYOB experience preferred);
  • Overseas foreign currency exposure;
  • Fully conversant with all statutory reporting and legislative compliance responsibilities;
  • Competent cash flow forecaster and investment strategist;
  • Excellent communicator with worthy interpersonal skills and business acumen;
  • Proven attention to detail to ensure accurate outcomes;
  • Well-organized time management with the ability to work well under pressure when required;
  • Interact and build valued relationships with all stakeholder groups and all levels of staff;
  • A willingness to embrace change;
  • Have a natural respect for company confidentiality at all times;
  • Be self-motivated, whilst also be willing to participate as a vital team member;
  • Strong collaborative/inclusive approach to problem solving.

$80k-$90k Base + Super
