The Contractor

A national contractor that is well established and has an outstanding reputation with beautiful offices in the heart of the Melbourne CBD and various workshops located around Melbourne.  They have a market strategy of horizontal & vertical investment whereby they have bought and improved upon many different businesses they have purchases in different areas of civil construction.

They have come through the other end of 2020 with a healthy small level of growth and have kicked of 2021 with a view to continue in the same trajectory with excellent market indicators in civil construction over the next 5 years as a minimum.

As such, they're looking to welcome a Workshop Administrator to be based just west of the City as their current Workshop Administrator has received a promotion.

Your Role

You will be working in an energetic and friendly workshop environment where all are welcome and real camaraderie is for all to see.  Whether it be a high five a friendly wave, or a passing joke, you'll have fun working here that's for sure!

Your enthusiasm, energy and organisation will be the key to your success in this position.  Here are the following key duties and responsibilities:
  • Processing service time sheets & reports
  • Entering & updating work & purchase orders
  • Assisting in controlling & issuing spare parts
  • On charging internal & external entities as required
  • Authorising supplier invoices
  • Ensuring filing is routinely completed
  • Spare part collection & delivery
You will be reporting to the Project Manager.  We are ideally looking for someone with experience in a similar role with an understanding of workshop and fleet documentation as well as spare parts knowledge being favourable, but certainly not a deal breaker.  Forklift certification is also really handy to have.
