The Contractor

A national contractor that is well established and has an outstanding reputation with beautiful offices in the heart of the Melbourne CBD.  They have a market strategy of horizontal & vertical investment whereby they have bought and improved upon many different businesses they have purchases in different areas of civil construction.

They have come through the other end of 2020 with a healthy small level of growth and have kicked of 2021 with a view to continue in the same trajectory with excellent market indicators in civil construction over the next 5 years as a minimum.

As such, they're looking to welcome a Transport Scheduler to join the business in one of their lucrative divisions.  A background in a similar role within waste management and bin hire will be looked upon favourably.

Your Role

There will be 6 key responsibilities assigned to your role:
  1. Transport Scheduling
  2. Financial Management
  3. Buying Portfolio
  4. Continuous Improvement
  5. People Management
  6. Communication & Interpersonal Relationships
You will be planning directing and coordinating transport logistics and operations in support of the bin hire division.  Ensure timelines and budgets of our services are carried out.

You will have the freedom to develop and implement processes, systems and capabilities that work for you whilst supporting business growth as we support your career growth.

You will be reporting directly to the General Manager of the division.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 5 years'experience in Logistics / Transport Management with strong communication skills both verbal and written.
