- Salary - $60,000 to $90,000 per annum depending upon skills and experience
My client has been established over 20 years and is a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering company specialising in Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire Protection, Sustainability, Lift, and Security and Telecommunication systems in buildings. Looking for motivated Sustainability Consultants.
MAIN DUTIES
- Provide best-practice building services design approaches with ESD initiatives in mind
- Conduct site inspections for environmental safety compliance
- Collect and analyse data and conduct environmental impact assessments for proposed projects
- Identify any potential sources that can have adverse impacts on the environment
- Provide technical assessments and expert solutions to clients with the aim of minimising or eliminating environmental damage
- Devise environmentally sustainable policies and approaches keeping human health, animal and plant life, and safety guidance in consideration
- Attend meetings and provide environmental management robust solutions in achieving high sustainability goals
- Provide guidance on environmentally friendly ways of waste management
- Prepare detailed reports and action plans
- Forecast potential environmental problems and provide recommendations so that clients comply with environmental regulations
- Respond to RFIs
- Escalate complex problems to relevant stakeholders
- Train other team members as required
REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary degree in a relevant profession
- 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of Green Star rating tools with experience delivering various Green Star projects
- Green Star Accredited Professional (GSAP) status preferred
- Sound understanding of sustainability compliance measures & provisions
- Software: IESve (ModelIT, Apache, ApacheHVAC, Radiance etc), First Rate, eTool, Rhino
- Experience in building physics modelling preferred
