This position reports into the Head of Communications and has end to end accountability for the social strategy for Australia.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following;
- Establishing, monitoring and reporting on social channel metrics
- Own the companies Australia’s social media channels for both organic and paid social – understanding of media and performance is crucial for this role
- Own day-to-day relationships with social vendors, focused on improving the way we use channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. as well as emerging platforms like TikTok
- Manage the social media agency including delivery of the full social media program and work closely with media agency on paid optimisation
- Get your hands dirty developing copy, assets or recommendations in support of business activities
- Be the conduit between the business in Australia and the social media global teams based out of Mountain View.
- Champion best practice social media and establish yourself as the social media lead across the business, requiring strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- 5-8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably client side with experience working in partnership with various teams
- Experience in leading end-to-end campaigns from concept creation to tracking, analysing results and optimising campaigns
- Strong business acumen and proven results in driving successful social media tests to improve performance
- Experience in creative development and copywriting with outstanding written and verbal skills
- Experience and passion in photography, videography and editing for social platforms is an asset
- Ability to build and maintain productive relationships; Work across organisations and drive cross functional teams effectively; Communicate proactively with all key stakeholders
- Project management: Set the right priorities, effectively allocate resources, time management, while driving for continuous improvement
- Analytics/business acumen: able to use intuition and analyse data from a variety of sources to make well-reasoned conclusions, solid action plans, and balance short and long-term tradeoffs
- Detail oriented with a professional demeanor
- Works-well in fast-paced environment
- Possess a “can-do” attitude, understanding the support required from multiple parts of the business including events, brand, product etc.
- Marketing or relevant business or communications degree preferred
