Job Description

BRIEF

My client is looking for a site manager to oversee operations on a day-to-day basis, and ensure that work is done safely, on time and within budget and to quality standards. Serve as the point of contact for sub-contractors and be expected to liaise between site staff and management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Site Manager you will be directly responsible for the control of the team on site and its activities, including:
• Oversee all daily site operations
• Co-ordination of sub-contractors, suppliers, and materials deliveries.
• Liaison with clients ensuring successful delivery of project to schedule
• Liaison with the contracts administrator to identify variations and claims
• Managing HSE compliance on site including site inductions
• Enforce all workplace policies, procedures and compliance on site
• Complete regular site inspections, safety walks
• Review and monitor trade scope of works
• Track and monitor project progress
• Prepare and submit project progress reports
• Monitor target construction programme milestones
• Update 2 weekly target construction programmes
• Status specific trade contractor programmes
• Review, approve and monitor Subcontractor SWMS
• Procore updates – RFI’s, site diary, photos, tool-box talks

REQUIREMENTS

• Trade qualified- Carpentry and or joinery 
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Site Manager on heavy refurbishment and/or new build construction projects (commercial sector preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of construction and HSE procedures
• Adherence to safety, building legislation and quality standards
• Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive both direct and sub-contract labour
• Be able to implement project programmes to time and budget
• Ability to read drawings, plans and specifications
• Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Be well organised with a high attention to detail
• Prior experience using Procore is advantageous
