Safety, Accreditation and Compliance Officer I Lismore

Denovo Recruitment are currently representing a reputable Transport and Logistics business based in Lismore who are seeking a Safety, Accreditation and Compliance Officer to join their growing team.

As a Safety, Accreditation and Compliance Officer, you will be required to work in a fast-paced environment within a small hardworking and dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient management of company operations, safety, accreditation and compliance within the business.

To be successful within this role you will demonstrate the ability to provide high quality customer service and support to a wide range of stakeholders, have high attention to detail, have a strong passion for safety and compliance, hold high integrity and confidentiality, be proactive by nature and hold strong communication skills whilst working both within a team and autonomously.

Key responsibilities
  • Review Operations and systems and improve the compliance planning processes
  • Continuous implementation of improvement projects to develop and improve the efficiency of general performance.
  • Have an understanding of the following HNVAS Accreditation Programs
  • Fatigue Management
  • Mass & Maintenance
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • CoR Risk Management
  • Safety Management Systems
  • Verification that all regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated throughout the business
  • Oversee and manage internal reporting systems
  • Incident Reporting Management and review of internal procedures
  • Direct the development or implementation and maintenance of compliance-related policies and procedures
  • Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes
  • Design and implement improvement to: WHS; COR; Subcontractor Management with-in the organisation
  • Improving accountability, responsibility, transparency, and governance in relation to both decision making and outcomes
  • Alignment with existing corporate systems controls for WHS and Environment and continuous implementation of any changes    
About you
  • Willingness to contribute to the continuous development of a positive organisational culture
  • Strong problem resolution skills
  • Understanding of stakeholder relations and stakeholder business processes
  • Experience within the Transport and Logistics Industry is desirable, however not essential
  • Experience in Long-Distance Bulk Transport Industry is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to implement and maintain systems, computer literacy is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative and hands on management style is extremely beneficial within this role
