Job Description

Restaurant General Manager

One of the leading restaurant brands based in Sydney CBD is looking for a Resturant Geneal Manager who is able to strategyically planning out the team management and company growth.

  • Accountable for managing the day to day operations of the restaurant with active presence on the floor leading the team to deliver service excellence
  • Accountable for driving revenue and profit through the development and implementation of strategies, practices and promotions while in keeping with the overall concept
  • Establish FOH Staff work schedules and monitor staff performance
  • Responsible for monthly forecasting, departmental expenses and month end commentaries
  • Effectively manage the departmental budget
  • Tips management and allocation
  • Effectively recruit and onboard new staff
  • Train and lead the team in all aspects of the department to ensure service standards are followed
  • Promote the growth and development of internal talent
  • Actively manage restaurant social media accounts in accordance with marketing standards (i.e. Facebook, Instagram)
  • Maintain the safety and sanitation of the restaurant
  • Handle guest complaints and questions according to provided guidelines
  • Collaborate with other departments to contribute to the overall smooth operation of the restaurant
  • Work in partnership with BOH Manager to create and maintain all restaurant menus while in keeping with the overall concept
  • Adhering to all Company policies, procedures and values

What you will need:

  • At least 5 years' experience in the food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Previous leadership and management experience is required
  • Completion of college program in related field is required
  • Education in Hospitality industry is preferred
  • Outstanding proficiency in English both oral and written is required
  • Fluent in Mandarin is an asset
  • Clear and professional communication abilities
