Job Description


Our client is a global name in the world of high end commercial furniture. They manufacture in a wide range of loose furniture, workstations and accessories that can be seen in many blue chip and prestigious office environments across numerous countries. Due to a recent reshuffle, that are seeking a talented Project Manager from within the commercial interiors market to join their existing and talented team


This is a hybrid role based out of the Brisbane office, consisting of Project Management, Design and Tendering duties


  • Working closely with the Business Development Managers, Account Managers and Bid and Design team, Order Fulfilment, Logistic Managers and Customer Service Coordinator to specify the required materials to meet customers' needs
  • Developing and managing tender documentation for sub-contractors to deliver and install
  • Identify new project opportunities and leveraging existing relationships
  • Site visit to complete detailed measures of the site, identify and resolve potential constraints during delivery and coordinate access for delivery
  • Ongoing liaison with client's overseas factory to guide the manufacturing process including freight and logistics to ensure accurate production and timely delivery
  • Attending and completing the final defects inspections and ensuring defects are rectified prior to handover to the client
  • Ongoing monitoring of site progress, budget, variations, overall project timeline and final invoicing and reconciliation
  • Work with Sales Team to understand the tender requirements/ expectations
  • Develop most optimum and economical product solutions to meet the client's budget and workplace needs
  • Prepare design and specification works on typical system configuration and floor plan layout
  • Once drawings are finalized, prepared bill of quantity and strategize product solutions to meet tender's specifications
  • Ensure tender is completed and submitted on time.
  • Prepare data qualification for order entry and order file
  • Create presentation boards for mockup exercise
  • Provide rendering work to enhance proposal bids
  • Create presentation materials in Microsoft PowerPoint format for sales presentation
  • Maintain all drawings and files in the archive library
  • Ensure the drawings and quotations are submitted on time.


  • An project management background from within the interiors space - Furniture, Lighting, Flooring ect (minimum 3 years)
  • Experience in handling large scale commercial projects
  • A university or technical school degree in design, project management, architecture or a similar field of study
  • Willingness to take up hybrid role - 80% Project Management, 20% Bid & Design - prepare tender documents
  • Hands on experience with Auto CAD
  • Strong Organisational, planning and negotiating skills
  • Ability to handle and expereince in managing large scale commercial projects
  • A polished presenter - articulate and well presented
  • Ability to read and interpret blue-prints
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills, and a high degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Independent - able to work under less / no 'supervision
