Our client is a national leading flooring organisation with over 40 years expertise in the Australian market. They are a highly reputable multi-faceted business with focus on the commercial, retail and trade markets who are currently expanding their presence across Australia. Our client can boast of been within the top 30 suppliers to Bunnings with high margin. Due to the expansion of their product range, an opportunity exists for a talented and up and coming National Sales Manager from within the flooring industry, to take charge of a number of existing national accounts and ultimately lead their national sales team

Role


Working closely with the Managing Director, you will be championed with driving the sales team to achieve 2019 budget. News products will be live in the near future, so a key area of focus would be product development. Key to this role is enthusiasm, initiative and above all else - hands on sales leadership. Essentially your mandate is to maximise the market share and grow the annual revenue base.

Duties

  • Full P+L responsibilities for our clients flooring range nationally
  • Key Account Management of a number of high profile retail accounts within Bunnings, Carpet Court, Choices
  • Liaising with the specification team, planning and identifying new opportunities within the commercial market
  • Working closely with the NMM to developing exiting and new product ranges
  • Quoting clients with a range of products and other requirements
  • Hands on leadership, which involves training and developing teams both in Melbourne and Inter-state within commercial, retail, marketing and product development areas
  • Identifying new markets to develop
  • Recruitment of new sales and marketing staff



Candidate:

  • An external sales management background specifically from within the flooring industry
  • Knowledge of the retail | reseller market - specific knowledge of Bunnings, Choice's, Flooring Xtra, Carpet Call or Carpet Court would be beneficial
  • Experience at head office / national account level in the above retail businesses
  • Strong organisational, planning and negotiating skills
  • A polished presenter - articulate and well presented
  • An energetic character who enjoys a youthful environment, with a desire to further their career
  • Ideally someone at a National Account Manager level looking to make the step up into a NSM type role
