Job Description

Denovo Recruitment is working with a highly regarded contractor that specialises in the fit-out and refurbishment of high-end restaurant, retail and commercial projects throughout Sydney. 
With a growing project pipeline, there is an opportunity for a skilled Contract Administrator / Estimator looking to work on major, landmark projects. 

About you:  

  • Proven experience in estimation with Commercial, Residential and/or hospitality project.
  • A good understanding of Construction Methods, Materials & Building Contracts
  • Strong Written & Verbal communication skills
  • A team player that can also work unsupervised if required
  • Experience working towards both team and individual KPIs
About the position:
  • Prepare tenders and EOIs and contribute to the development of strategies to win tenders
  • Develop and maintain BOQs for accurate and effective cost control
  • Obtain Quotes and Pricing from Sub-Contractors & Suppliers as required
  • Prepare exact take-offs and tender estimates
  • Develop scope of work for trades and subcontractors
  • Prepare tender invitations for trades
  • Assess subcontractor quotes and prepare tender recommendations.
  • Review, negotiate and preparation of subcontracts
  • Manage Variations 
  • Sourcing suppliers, and negotiating rates for materials
  • Management and forecasting of project expenditure, and budgets.
  • Review and assess subcontractor progress claims
  • Administration of RFIs to clients, architects and consultants.
  • Provide support to the Project Manager and Site Manager
  • Represent the company at site inspections and other project meetings (Engineer inspections, PCA inspections)
  • Prepare meeting agendas and minutes
  • Maintain notices and extensions of time for projects.
  • Organise and develop communications between consultants (Architects, Engineers, PCA, and the like)
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation for Construction Certificates.
  • Compile documentation for Practical Completion and Project Handover (Operation and Maintenance Manuals)
  • Preparation and compiling of compliance certificates for Final Occupation Certificates.
  • Maintaining and monitoring construction programmes.
