Job Description


Our client has a strong presence across the interiors market with 20 years experience. Specialising in boutique and high end engineered timber flooring products and services, they are a well respected and highly reputable company, who are currently expanding their presence across Australia.


Backed by a strong and experienced team and working closely with the National Sales Manager, you will be championed with introducing and developing business with builders & architects across the state. Key to this role is enthusiasm, initiative and above all else - sales ability. Essentially your mandate is to maximise the market share and grow the annual revenue base. Please note this is a field based position.


  • Compile & manage a database of new architects, designers & specifiers ensuring a strong relationship is formed to create repeat business
  • Secure an existing pipeline of work
  • Identify new opportunities within the multi-residential and commercial builder market, whilst leveraging existing relationships
  • Manage specification's through from initial specification stage to sale completion (supply only)
  • Ensure specifiers have current sample boxes, data sheets & associated sampling of all products
  • Technical product support along with product presentations will be an ongoing part of this role
  • Prepare activity reports for management when requested
  • Attend industry related trade events to network & increase brand recognition
  • Ensure CRM reporting is up to date
  • Quoting clients with a range of products and other requirements, offering advice and solutions


  • An external sales background in the building products industry (min 3 years)
  • Knowledge of the architect & high end / multi residential / commercial builder market
  • Strong organisational, planning and negotiating skills
  • A polished presenter - articulate and well presented
  • An energetic and tenacious character with a desire to further their career
  • Although not a prerequisite, applicants that have some an interior product such as furniture, flooring, bathrooms, lighting, benchtops, tiles or carpets would be welcomed
  • Previous experience or the desire to lead a sales team in the near future
