Job Description
Joining a young, friendly and social team you will be working on a diverse mix of clients from various industries with all their bookkeeping needs. This role will predominately be based in the office but will require regular on-site client visits and meetings. This role will develop into a supervisory role over the next 12 – 18 months as the team grows.
Your role will include;
- Manage the complex payrolls of clients across a variety of industries and sizes
- Preparation of end of month reconciliations
- Preparation and lodgement of IAS and BAS on a monthly or quarterly basis
- Conducting basic reviews of a clients accounting file and identify areas for improvement and potential inaccuracies
- Reviewing work completed by offshore team
- Manage all leave accruals, expenses, claims etc
- Attending client meetings where required
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Certificate IV in Accounting or equivalent
- Experience with XERO Practice Manager, XERO Work-papers and Excel
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Public Practice working as a bookkeeper
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
