Allocator

• Ensure efficient and effective daily scheduling and oversee dispatching of deliveries to meet customer service requirements
• Work with other schedulers, plant teams and drivers to ensure the right load into the right truck to the right job to keep informed of the plan
• Constant feedback to the CSO's (Customer Service Officer) to ensure proper order placement & information to maximise truck utilisation and lower cost of cartage
• Liaison with plant staff, account managers and site coordinators to ensure best possible customer service and ensure individual customer requirements are achieved
• Maintain up to date knowledge of assigned products, services and plant capabilities/capacity
• Manage all fleet scheduling and ensure delivery requirements until jobs are complete
• Engage with and coach other schedulers where required for continuous improvement for scheduling and planning
• Capture and maintain cycle times and service interruptions to ensure continuous improvement of service levels
• Actively seek feedback on site safety from customers, project coordinators, drivers and account managers to ensure safe site deliveries.
• Manage all instances that are reported by drivers in relation to accidents, near miss, site delivery activities that inhibit/restrict safe site deliveries

• Previous 2 years+ experience in a customer service, scheduling or similar role.
• Experience in logistics is advantageous but not essential
• Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (experience with SAP advantageous but not essential).
• Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
