Denovo Systems commenced trading in April 1995. On March 31st 1996 Peter Caldwell acquired the intellectual property assets of the Property Management System known as CHARMS from Geac Australia Pty Ltd. The company was incorporated with head office in Cairns, Australia with Peter Caldwell as Managing Director.

The company has been established with assets comprising of the CHARMS Property Management System, Point of Sale System and other associated modules, and computer facilities necessary to support customers in Australia and overseas. The company is totally debt free.

History

In 1988 a number of individuals expressed interest in establishing a company to market computer software into the burgeoning Queensland tourism industry. Initially it was to market third party products but when suitable software could not be found a decision was taken to commence a development programme.

Installation into the first two sites was completed in 1990.

Following the acquisition in April 1996, emphasis was placed on re-establishing close ties with customers and achieving levels of customer satisfaction way higher than what would normally be expected in the computer industry. Once customer satisfaction goals were met the overseas operation was addressed. Distributors already in place were retrained. Confidence levels were restored and now agents in four regions are again marketing the CHARMS products. Sales success has followed.
